It is wonderful to cool down on a hot day in the recreation lake with its 30-metre-long water slide. The large grassy area is inviting for a relaxing day at the beach. Or challenge each other to a game of mini golf, beach volleyball or table tennis. From your sun lounger you can keep your children in your line of sight whilst they play in the water. The gently sloping bottom of the lake is ideally suited for small children.
The water in the recreation lake is separated from that of the large lake and is constantly refreshed in an ingenious manner. Several years ago the ANWB proclaimed the bathing beach and its facilities at Parc de Witte Vennen as the best outdoor swimming location in the Netherlands.

Because of its location within cycling distance of Venray, Oostrum and Leunen, the bathing area with its playground and mini-golf course is easily accessible to visitors from North Limburg. The beach is open from 1 May until 30 September, subject to the following rates and opening times:
